5th Place

Jacob Lugo, Matthew Lutz & Christian Ramos captured the 5th place trophy in the Primary School Section of this regional event. Teams from as far away as Laredo participated.

The St. Pius team got this great result despite the fact that they were a player short. (Team standings are based on the top 4 individual scores).

The next event will be February 6th at Del Mar College. Details will be available here shortly.

My name is Ivan and I will be the new chess coach at St. Pius Chess.

I love the game of chess and have been playing for a long time. Last year I coached my son's school chess team & we had a lot of fun leaning the game & competing in tournaments. I would like to do the same at St. Pius. This is a link to the blog I created last year: Click here.
